Risk Governance Assistant Manager / Manager - Risk Management Department |
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in risk management or risk related discipline
- 5+ years' risk experience at top tier financial institution
- An intelligent individual with highly effective communication skills
- Understanding of lending products, it's business nature and operation requirements
- Ability to explain complex methodology to wide ranging audience
- Ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines and to manage expectations
- Effective critical analysis and reasoning skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and also autonomously upon own initiative as required
- Self-starter with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as an Assistant Manager.
Job Description:
- Develop, implement and maintain the UAF Group "the Group" 's risk governance framework and Risk Management Policy. Assist in administer the risk committees, including meeting coordination, meeting agenda proposal, preparation of committee risk reports, meeting minutes, liaison with members on risk committee matters.
- Develop, implement and maintain Risk Appetite Statement. Establish qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Ensure risk management practices are regularly assessed and updated to reflect applicable risk appetite statements, regulatory requirements and risk committee direction.
- Administer and oversee management of all Group policies. Provide quality assurance of Group policy development, govern review cycles to ensure policy compliance, maintain Group policy template and approval process.
- Ensure audit comments are addressed and implemented timely.

Enterprise Risk Management Assistant Manager / Manager |
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of financial industry.
- Analytical ability in risk assessment and identification of mitigation controls.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and industrial practices.
- Strong verbal and written English language skill are essential.
- University degree, with Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or risk related discipline, qualifications.
- 3 to 5 years' banking or audit experience, preferably with exposure to retail lending business.
- Strong attentiveness to detail, compliance and control orientation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of application software such as MS Excel, presentation slides preparation.
- Proficiency level on written and spoken in English and Chinese.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as an Assistant Manager.
Job Description:
- Develop, implement and maintain UAF group enterprise risk management framework, policy and standards. Ensure alignment, integration and consistency of risk management process across UAF Group companies. Identify and address variances.
- Develop, implement and maintain Risk Control Self-Assessment "RCSA" process and risk registers.
- Review and constructively challenge Departments' risk and control assessments, control monitoring plans and execution activities, issues and actions relating to material control weaknesses, and material internal operational risk event.
- Challenge the Risk Owners, Control Owners, where operational risks are not being effectively managed as defined within the 'Three Lines of Defence Model'.
- Provide advice and guidance to the risk owners, control owners on implementing and using the Operational Risk Management Framework and the Group's operational risk management systems
- Initiate and champion RCSA exercise, ensure timely completion, with appropriate action plans to address identified control gaps.
- Ensure issues/action plans arising from RCSA, risk events, KRIs, regulatory inspections or other risk issues are properly followed up.
- Track, new risk events, overdue action plans and risk acceptances, to ensure appropriate justifications and approvals are obtained.
- Define escalation process and report significant risk issues to the Risk Committee.
- Deliver enterprise risk management research and trend analysis. Provide though leadership on enterprise risk management direction and changes.
- Prepare annual operational risk training materials.
- Ensure audit comments are addressed and implemented timely.
