Seminar for ‘Touch Point’ of Caritas–Hong Kong
Following the workshop with Caritas Family Support Centre in mid-Sep, United Asia Finance Limited (“UA”) co-operated with another Caritas–Hong Kong (Caritas) association, ’Touch Point’, to conduct a seminar in the evening of Nov 17 at the Tai Hang Tung Integrated Services Centre. The attendants this time were mainly youngsters under aged 30. At the seminar, UA’s representatives shared the tips on smart financing and introduced the common types of personal loan in the market. It is hoped that those youngsters attending the seminar can better manage their finances as it will be one of the keys for them to resume life back on a normal track. Both speakers and attendants enjoyed the 1.5 hours’ time and there were much interaction of Q&A and sharing of both sides. The goal of ‘Touch Point’ is to offer help and support for arrested youngsters of drug abuses aged 30 or below, enhancing them and their hidden peers to quit drugs and helping them start up treatment plan through pre-trial intervention supportive services. The services of Touch Point include internet and court outreach service, pre-trial intervention and help for arrested young drug abusers to start up their own treatment plan. Counseling and multiple assessments including education and vocation assessment are provided to assist them to set up voluntary rehabilitation plans with the aim to help them build up a healthy life model and re-set to right track of life. In the coming days, UA will continue to support even more social and charity activities, to share more information and tips on smart financing and to provide support and assistance to those in need with the objective to jointly build up a better community.
