Workshop for Social Workers of Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre
United Asia Finance (“UA”) has devoted to be a responsible corporate citizen and rendered our support to fulfill our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We have actively participated in different kinds of social and welfare activities to contribute for the harmony of community such as Po Leung Kuk Charity Walk, visits to elderly houses, charity fundraising and charity sales day, etc. Sep 14, 2017, for the first time UA cooperated with Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre (“The Centre”) to host a workshop for their social workers. During the 2-hour workshop, UA introduced different kinds of loan products and various debt relief plans in the market. Additional useful loan-related knowledge and information like the importance and advantage of maintaining good record at the Consumer Credit Data were included as well. The atmosphere of the workshop was very good with many interactions between UA representatives and the social workers. Sponsored by The Ping Wo Fund under Home Affairs Bureau, Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre was founded in Oct 2003. The operation of the Centre is composed of social workers, Gambling Counselors, welfare workers and administrative assistant. The main objective of the establishment of the Centre is to offer help and counseling services for compulsive gamblers and their families. Simultaneously, to provide advice and assistance on debts relief plan for those in need with an aim to contribute to the building of harmonious society and family. It is our hope that by conducting such workshops, the social workers can be better-equipped with respective knowledge on loan-related products so that they can give more constructive and useful advice to help the target clients when needed. In the coming days, UA will continue to support Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre and similar non-profit organizations to offer help and support on giving professional advice to the social workers and also the target individuals directly if needed, with an aim to help those in need to resume to the right track and enjoy a normal life. |
