In order to reduce light nuisance and save energy, the Environment Bureau (ENB) launched the “Charter on External Lighting” (the “Charter”) in April 2016 to invite owners of and responsible persons for external lighting installations to switch off external lighting installations of decorative, promotional or advertising purposes which affect the outdoor environment during the preset time (i.e. 11 p.m. or midnight to 7 a.m. on the following day).

United Asia Finance Limited (“UAF”) is dedicated to fulfill Corporate Social Responsibility, protection and conservation of the environment is one of issues we always support. In April 2016, UAF pledged to join the Charter and switch off lighting installations that affect the outdoor environment at the designated time. After review, “Gold Award" was awarded to all participated UAF branches for fulfilling the pledge.
