United Asia Finance was awarded in “Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged”

United Asia Finance ("UAF") is committed to create a cohesive, inclusive and caring society. This year, UAF was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation by the “Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged” in recognition of our dedication in helping the disadvantaged individuals in the local community.

“Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged” ("PFD") was established in 2005, aiming to promote the tripartite partnership among the welfare sector, the business community and the Government to help the disadvantaged. Under the PFD, the Government provides matching grants having regard to the donations made by business organizations to support applicant organizations in running social welfare projects. The Government has injected a total of $800 million into the PFD, with $200 million set aside for the purpose of launching more after-school learning and support programmes for primary and secondary students from grassroots families to facilitate their whole-person development.

UAF has not only donated money, but also collaborated with non-profit making organizations in planning and running various types of welfare programmes. We aim at helping different social groups like the disadvantaged children, the youth, women, new arrivals, low-income families, ethnic minorities and the unemployed, as well as assisting them in building community networks.
